The Minister of Environment Mr. Houmed Msaïdié took part in the launching of the works of the project ER2C (Water and Resilience to Climate Change) in Bandrani-Anjouan alongside the President of the Republic His Excellency Azali Assoumani. A project that is part of the ambitions of the emergence by 2030.
In a brief speech, he said he was delighted to be present with the President of the Republic for this launch. He also paid tribute to his predecessor, Minister Bianrifi Tarmidhi, who has supported this project to date.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen the climate resilience of drinking water and irrigation of the areas of the country most vulnerable to risks related to climate change. The target areas were chosen for their vulnerability to climate change, their good hydrogeological and hydraulic potential in terms of water storage and catchment, and the limited donor support they receive for water supply in the localities.
